I’m Stephen Lucas, CEO of Soundbite. I started my company in 2004 and today bringing over 23 years of technical audio visual experience.

With an extensive technical understanding, a commitment to people, and the ability to see the bigger picture, I focus on delivering seamless audio visual solutions that allow you to concentrate on what matters most — your event.


I understand that successful audio visual technology for events involves more than just equipment. It requires thorough planning, asking the right questions, flawless execution, and assembling the right team with the right tools, all while taking a holistic approach to the client’s needs and goals.

When Soundbite first started, I focused primarily on providing equipment. However, I quickly realised that clients, particularly those organising small to medium-sized events, needed more than just the technology. Many audio visual companies focused on their equipment, while event agencies prioritised creativity. This revealed a clear gap in the market for a service that not only offered up-to-date, high-quality equipment but also provided reliable and well-executed support at point of delivery.
